KOBE BRYANT/ANDREW BYNUM
Another 2 for 1 deal. The whole Dwight to LA discussion is becoming less and less of a possibility with the recent play of Mr. DUI and Kobe Bean. In a nice home win over the young Rockets (108-99) Kobe looked like Kobe in the 4th again as he “closed” the Rockets out as we have come accustomed to, while ending the game with his best numbers of the season 37 points, 8 rebounds, 6 asts, and 1 blk, even though he did chuck it a little (14/29 fg’s).
Bynum is 3/3 so far this season (avg. 22 and 17), I’m sure his numbers will flatten out somewhere down the line, then again maybe he’s becoming the player we all feared he become. He recorded his first 20-20 game Tuesday night with 21 points, 22 rebounds, and 3 blks on (8/15 fg’s). If these two play at this level LAL is a legit contender for a 3rd title in 4 yrs.
*Kyrie Irving: 20 points, 6 asts, 3 rebs, 2 blks (8/10) fg’s (115-101 W) *matchup vs Kemba Walker*.
