Once Upon a Time, before Kenny Smith won a ring, before Shaq set foot on an NBA court, before we were plagued with the visual and audio terrorism that is the NBA on ESPN or whatever it’s called. Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley sat down and chopped it up about the 1992 NBA Playoffs.
This was a young Charles, before he truly honed his disrespect and became the originator of post game chatter. Notice the humility, the correct pronunciation of words and the way that he actually thinks and makes a little sense. Glad he switched it up. Ernie on the other hand hasn’t changed a thing, solidifying his rank amongst all time mediators and color commentators.
Thought the Blazers would win the chip, Ha!?
21 years later and these fellas are still golden.
